Readiness Score
What is a Readiness score?
Ever wonder what your body can actually handle today—not what your training plan says, but what your system is prepared for? That’s what the Readiness Score is designed to answer. It’s a personalized signal at the top of your fitMetrics dashboard that guides you on when to push hard, hold steady, or take it easy, optimizing your workouts and daily activities for peak performance and health.
Your score is calculated by taking into account your sleep quality, recovery signals (like HRV and resting heart rate versus your normal) rate, recent exertion, and other trends. fitMetrics analyzes how today’s metrics stack up against your normal patterns, then we work to generate your readiness score. Instead of juggling charts, you get a simple number and a clear personalized nudge: go for it, keep it steady, or back off and recover.
Because your body isn’t static, neither is your score. As new data comes in throughout the day—workouts, naps, stress—your Readiness will refresh, so your afternoon plan can adapt to your morning reality.
Why fitMetrics does it better:
Unlike most readiness metrics locked to a single device, fitMetrics connects to Apple Watch, Oura, Garmin, Fitbit, Withings, and more. You can even connect multiple wearables at the same time. We then normalize the data from one wearable overtime so you get one consistent score even if you stack devices.
Most importantly, your readiness score is calibrated to you. We compare today against your personal rolling baseline, not a population average. That means your score and guidnece reflects your unique physiology and routine, not someone else’s.
To make your score actionable we include a “What moved your score” breakdown plus personalized daily recommendations from our proprietary AI agent.
fitMetrics enables you to get the most out of your data. With your permission, you can share readiness scores and health trends directly with your physician, nutritionist, or trainer. This gives your care team a clearer picture of your day-to-day health, enabling more informed conversations and personalized care.
How to interpret your score?
Think of the ranges as helpful cues—not hard rules.
80–100 (Green): Capacity is high. Go for quality work—PR attempts, longer runs, heavy lifts, deep focus sessions.
60–79 (Yellow): Train smart—keep intensity purposeful, nail technique, fuel well.
40–59 (Amber): Prioritize active recovery—Zone 2 cardio, mobility, walks, breathwork, earlier bedtime.
0–39 (Red): Protect the basics—sleep, hydration, nutrition, light movement. Tomorrow benefits from what you do today.
Why can’t you see your readiness score?
If your readiness score isn’t appearing, it’s likely because a wearable isn’t connected. To unlock the full potential of fitMetrics, connect your Apple Watch, Garmin, Oura Ring, Fitbit, or another compatible device. You can even connect multiple at once for the most complete picture.
Privacy You Can Trust
Your data is always private and secure. fitMetrics never shares or sells your information—period. You choose who gets access, and you can revoke it at any time. Our insights are for information, not medical advice. Consult a healthcare professional for personalized recommendations.
